Who we are

Tiny Worlds is published by Laurane Boulenger (Entrepreneur individuel (micro-entreprise) — profession libérale non réglementée), based at 537 avenue de la Justice de Castelnau, 34090 Montpellier, France. What we collect

• Account data — your name and email address, and the password handling needed to sign you in.
• Learning data — the videos you watch and the vocabulary you meet, so the platform can bring words back before you forget them. This is the core of what the service does.
• Payment data — handled entirely by our payment provider, Creem, acting as Merchant of Record. We never see or store your card details; we only receive confirmation that a subscription is active.
• Messages you send us — anything you write through the contact form or by email, so we can reply.
• Technical data — basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to keep the site secure and running.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide your account and the learning features — performance of our contract with you.
• To take payment and manage your subscription — performance of our contract.
• To reply to your messages and support requests — our legitimate interest in helping you.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems — our legitimate interest.
• To measure advertising, once it is active — your consent, which you can give or refuse and withdraw at any time (see “Cookies and tracking” below).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run Tiny Worlds:

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Union, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies and tracking

We use only the essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session secure. These do not require consent.

If and when we run advertising, we plan to add the Meta pixel to measure how our ads perform. This is a non-essential tracking tool: it will only load after you have given consent, and you will be able to refuse it or withdraw your consent at any time without any effect on your use of the platform. As of the date above, no advertising or pixel is active on the site.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (for example billing records) to meet legal obligations. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your data;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
• withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@learnfrench.io. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés), the French data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves — for example when we launch advertising. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will let you know.
