Terms of Service
These terms explain what you get, what you pay, and how to cancel. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Tiny Worlds is operated by Laurane Boulenger (Entrepreneur individuel (micro-entreprise) — profession libérale non réglementée), 537 avenue de la Justice de Castelnau, 34090 Montpellier, France. You can reach us at hello@learnfrench.io. Full identity details are on our Legal Notice.
2. The service
Tiny Worlds is an online platform that teaches French to beginners through short videos and a system that tracks the words you meet and brings them back before you forget them. We may add, change or remove features over time to keep improving the platform.
3. Your account
You need an account to use most of the platform. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what happens under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your country to subscribe.
4. Plans, trial and free content
Every new account starts with a free 7-day trial, no card required. Seven videos are also free to watch without an account. Paid access is offered through the following plans (prices in US dollars):
- Monthly — $15 per month. The full platform, billed month to month.
- Annual — $129 per year ($10.75/month). The full platform, plus 250 personalised sentences.
- Founding Member — $399 one-time, lifetime access. Limited to the first 500 members. Everything for life, plus 250 personalised sentences, a set of flashcards on a topic you choose, a postcard from France, and priority to request the next Tiny Worlds we film.
The current plans and any promotions are always shown on our Pricing page, which prevails if a price here is out of date.
5. Payment and billing
Payments are handled by our payment provider, Creem, acting as Merchant of Record. This means Creem is the seller of record for your purchase and is responsible for processing payment and for any applicable taxes. Your card details are handled by Creem — we never see or store them.
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. The Founding Member plan is a one-time payment for lifetime access and does not renew.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the current period unless the law requires it.
7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because access to Tiny Worlds is digital content supplied immediately, by starting to use the platform during that period you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once use begins. If you have not started using the paid content, you can still contact us at hello@learnfrench.io within 14 days to withdraw.
8. Acceptable use
Your subscription is for your own personal learning. You agree not to:
- share your account or let others use it;
- download, copy, redistribute or resell any of the videos or content;
- attempt to break, overload or work around the platform’s security;
- use the service unlawfully or to harm others.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules.
9. Intellectual property
All content and software on Tiny Worlds belongs to Laurane Boulenger or its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access and use the content while your subscription is active. It does not transfer any ownership to you.
10. Availability and disclaimers
We work hard to keep the platform available and useful, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Tiny Worlds is a learning tool; we do not guarantee any specific learning result, which also depends on the time and effort you put in.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. We will update the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will let you know. If you keep using the platform after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. For any question, contact us at hello@learnfrench.io. Because Creem is the Merchant of Record for purchases, some billing questions may be handled directly with Creem.
